You may have a fantastic character with a great shape, texture, a pose that stuns and lighting to match, but if your render settings are not set correctly your final image will be poor in quality. Your render settings will determine the overall quality and appearance of the image. There is more to rendering than just clicking the render button. When you render a scene the software calculates RGB values for each pixel based on light, surfaces, poses, shaping, etc. Rendering is the last step in your DAZ Studio workflow, and the point where you get to reap what you sow, so to speak. The whole point of DAZ Studio is to help you produce great artwork, in the form of renders. You can change the location of this folder under Preferences – General.Rendering is the process taking your 3D scene and converting it into a 2D image or animation. Note that as soon as you restart DAZ Studio, this folder is cleared! So the procedure upon DAZ Studio crashes or power cuts is to rescue those renders first, then restart DAZ Studio. On my system, the “global library” I mean is located here: Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/renderĮach temporary render is saved as a random letter or number. This library is not to be confused with the “user library”, which is in a different location. Hold down CMD and select Go from the Finder menu. The Library can be reached from the Mac Finder.
